Yeah, California really really cares about climate change, that is why they are shutting down Diablo Canyon and firing up their diesel powered generators this summer. Diablo Canyon, the twin 1100 MWe reactors produce about 18,000 GW·h of electricity annually (8.6% of total California generation and 23% of carbon-free generation). Green hypocrites.
More deluded, I don’t think many realize how complex our energy systems are. Something sounds good so they act on it, giving the government more power in the process.
