Before the modern-day lotteries, I used to watch The Millionaire on TV (1955-1960) and fantasize about being selected by John Beresford Tipton, Jr. to receive a check for one million dollars, tax free. The best part was that it did not cost me anything but time to watch.

I worked with a Lotto winner. She got an annual $30,000 prize which she quickly spent each time the check arrived.

When I was young we did not have lotteries, but I always wanted to be an eccentric millionaire-I think I made it to the eccentric part.

If he lives to be 45,000 years old won’t have won big. The Lottery is a tax on people who don’t have a clue about math.

Hey, that’s my old joke. In the meantime it’s a good idea to have an interim job. ;-)
