Never should have let that porcupine attend artillery school.

They don’t actually shoot the quills. My dog went up to one to “play” with it. And the quills came out wherever he was touched….into the dogs face, paws, sides, but they never shot out.

Dog was in surgery for hours while they tried to get the quills out :((Never let him off the leash again! And it was in our own yard! Lol

The scatter gun approach means he’s an amature.. the good ones only shoot a single quill.

A housemate had a dog who had an encounter with a porcupine on a camping trip. She took him to a vet and removed all the quills they could, but those quills can travel. About a week later he came into my room for some attention and as I was petting him I felt something coming out of his snout. Moments late I had a was holding a porcupine quill.

Porcupines do not shoot their quills. They can, however “release” the quills so that when a predator touches the quill it is easily pulled out without hurting the porcupine. The quills are barbed like a fish hook so whatever they enter, they stay put.

    That’s just because it’s a saturation attack.

Yes, we all know porcupines don’t shoot their quills. They also don’t talk, and neither do dogs. It’s a comic, people…
