Not really an unusual request considering birds have sought out human assistance many times in the past, the most famous ones being mother ducks who have found their ducklings in dangerous situations like storm drains or their family lost in the city. High intelligence, problem solving, tool use and empathy seem to be trademarks of these living dinosaurs. One famous instance is illustrated by the relationship that developed between a little girl and a murder of crows whereby the girl began dropping a little dog food for the crows on her way to feed the dog and after this went on for a while the crows began reciprocating by bringing her little found trinkets from their treasure hoard. No small matter when you consider how jealous they can be with their shiny treasures. I’ve returned more than a few eggs to their nest over my long life and these stories illustrate that we’re all in this together.

It took me a second to get the joke. Because somebody colored the egg like it was a rock.
