Good morning all. I never know what to say at this point. At the Annie 2002 site, I can say Good Morning Annie Fans. At Beniten y Eneas, I can say Good Morning Vagabond Village. But the group here doesn’t seem to have a community identity. Is there a name for the group here? I know this site got started when they cancelled Brenda Starr, then the Brenda Starr fans moved to the Brenda Starr archives. But unlike the Annie Fans who kept the Beniten y Eneas site going, this site seems to be waning daily.

davidf42: The folks here are mostly Brenda fans who were also fans of The Phantom and/or the Nicholas P. Dallis strips (Rex Morgan M.D. and Apartment 3-G). There has also been some interest, on & off, in Mary Worth & Mark Trail and I make a point to include FoxTrot as we are using the FT comment column. For some reason, this FT site was more popular with former Brenda commenters than the B.S. archive site. As to commenting on strips other than those mentioned above, I guess the unofficial rule–discussed early on–is that it’s OK to give other strips a try for a few days (one at a time & drop it off if no one else shows interest). I think we have quality (comments) if not quantity. And I think we have quite a few readers who only comment once in a while, including some Spanish speakers. While we have welcomed your dropping in with the link to Annie, if you are not reading the strips we are commenting on here, why don’t you say “Hola” or “Good Morning” and just post the link. :-)
Florchi, thank you for your response. I read Phantom, Rex Morgan, Mark Trail and Foxtrot and would be glad to limit my comments to those strips if you would prefer. However, may I please remind you that I have received responses to my comments on Alley Oop and Pigborn as well?
Florchi - I followed the links like you said but it didn’t play the song. It just put the lyrics on the screen. Thanks for trying though. I remember the Argyles version of it very well back when I was in the 6th grade.
Florchi - There is no YouTube video link on the page. I guess yours is configured differently from mine. So I just went to YouTube and searched for Beach Boys Alley Oop. Got it. It was very cute. Thanks for sharing.
Here I am, Florchi. I just read your comment on C & H. My computer died a week ago today. I went into serious withdrawal. I never thought of going to the library, because old people know libraries as places where you borrow BOOKS!

Florchi, just read your comment from yesterday and you’re probably right. The last story seemed to be about alcoholism, but just ended. That friend may resurface in some way but they aren’t going to delve too deeply.
