Spud! I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: I love Spud. But that was Amelia’s best line in a long while. A lot more creative than just blasting him with a snowball.
I just realized that Will Henry’s whimsical art style reminds me a little of Mark Kistler. My brother and I worked through one of his books in high school for art class (homeschooled) and had a lot of fun with his crazy, cartoony style. In this particular strip, it’s the tail of the speech bubble wound around the big hairy cyclops.

Those are in the Mediterranean, so not much worry there.

The worst thing in Snug Harbor is a wayward cod.

Amelia: It was that or knocking him out with a right hook. His hysterics were really getting to me.

Like a skilled martial artist, Amelia finds and pushes Spud’s emergency shutdown button.

Spuddy Boy sounds like the name for a racehorse – that runs the wrong way.

Yeah, and now he can actually relax and we don’t have to keep listening to him panicking!
