Interpretation versus translation.

Okay, I think I got this figured out.

The bird should have sent the Right “message” to Grace the “Cute Chick.”

Instead, he delivered the Wrong, but ultimately Right message to the Wrong but ultimately Right person, Jane.

“When I look at you, time stands still” is not equivalent to “Your face would stop a clock.”

No ad libbing!

Reverse Cyrano.

So poetic! And then there’s the translated short version! §:-)

Yeah, something definitely got lost in the translation.

I think Thor’s statement in panel two is questionable all by itself. Also not sure about his statement in panel three. The bird is correct in his/ her translation.

He needs a better parrot.
