Yes that was a good one! And so is your pun! But seriously, I guess the connotation PRUNE, has become “politically incorrect”. Plums is now the common term to use! How dumb is that?

I actually meant to say dried plum. Yes, people thought of prunes as something that makes you regular. I wonder if dried plums has helped their image. LOL

Well, I certainly hope that my plum tree produces fruit this year. It used to be prolific, but for the last two years almost non-existent. I think that the problem was in how it was prunded snerk*. I did it myself this year and I am hoping for success.

Oh that poor little Plum Tree. With cleo and his pruning shears, that little thing probably doesn’t stand a chance!

I went to the shopping center a while ago, and when I came up the road, where that slight curve starts, there is a speed limit sign posted at 25 mph. Guess that nimrod must have hit it too, coming up the road, it’s bent over. How he missed the neighbors hedge at that spot is beyond me!

LilG’s * daughter is on my computer so I am using the other. When I come to check on Baldo I just type a b on the http line and click on Baldo. Well it came up but it was a cartoon from May of 2010 and there was *Carmy. I miss her warmth and spirit.

Yes cleo, I do as well. I see her every day I’m at work though. Have her picture right there at my desk. She was one grand girl, that’s for sure!

I’ve been kind of bored so I am thinking of making cookies.

I just made some pinecones for my feathered friends! Tell me, do you know if squirrels eat pinecones? I would imagine they do, but as soon as the birds finish the seeds and peanut butter, the pinecones disappear somewhere, and they aren’t laying on the ground.

I never get bored talking to you Dry! Except if you hit me with one during your remodel projects with JFri!

Dry, squirrels eat pine nuts. They also love peanut butter. I tell you the robins and crows have been praising us for thatching and aerating our yard, they have been hanging out feasting eve since we had it done yesterday.

Well, my cookie dough is in the fridge.

I had to quit the book I was reading, which takes place on the Olympic peninsula in 1889. It is called “West Of Here.” I kept trying to figure out why that I wasn’t excited to sit down and read it, because it is written well. The answer came to me this morning, it’s because the weather is always cruddy. I get enough of that in real life.

I haven’t sat down and read a book in ages. When I’m not driving on the road trips, I bring my two magazines with me to read, Family Circle and the Saturday Evening Post. I cancelled my Backyard Living which I HATED to do, but I never had a chance to read it!

Oh I know squirrels eat pine nuts and peanut butter, these cones for some reason, I never saw a squirrel there, just the birds until the seeds and PB were gone.

Tell me, what are pine nuts? Are they in the pine cones? Being allergic to tree nuts, I never bothered to check it out.

Yes they are in pine cones Dry and they are particularly good with Italian dishes and are a principal ingredient in the classic pesto recipe with basil.

I am making a cookie that I have made for years with chocolate chips, oats and walnuts being the ingredients other than the usual.

Good cookie, except for the walnuts, LOL! I wonder what would happen if I tried pine nuts? I don’t know, maybe it isn’t worth the risk, although, they apparently aren’t true nuts.

I wouldn’t try pine nuts Dry. I think some people can have adverse reactions to them. It is a drag that you have the nut issue. Heavens, how can someone so nutty be allergic to nuts. :-}

Well I’m not entirely allergic to nuts! I have had NO ADVERSE REACTIONS from you guys! ;-)

I like to think of myself as a certain kind of a nut a … Make A Dame Yeehaa!

Well Dry, you seem like you get a lot of adverse reaction from us nuts, especially the one that gives you vocal raspberry explosions.

JFri, I have always disliked the term nut job. I myself prefer to avoid a job.

Only three more days and I’m done! I did pretty well with my Greek today. I will sort of miss my tutoring times. We have good conversations.
