This is one of the worst “shoe” strips yet. What stupid school test would ask a student to define Gatorade, a branded sports drink? It makes no sense whatsoever! Cassatt & Brookins just went looking for a word to try to make a pun with - and did a really poor job.

If comics made sense all the time, they wouldn’t be comics, they’d be news stories. If you read them, you just have to take your pun-ishment. And we all miss MacNELLY (I was at Chapel Hill while he was), but these guys are doing a great job in his absence.

do B.C. and Shoe feed each other? Next thing you know some dummy will come into the mix with beer drinking vermin, zoo animals, barnyard livestock and worse puns.
