Roger: Smells good. Whatcha making? Andy: It's an original recipe. Tofu balls dipped in sesame jelly, baked in an organic dairy-free cream cheesse and oatmeal crust, topped with fermented lima bean chutney. And it sounds like you'll be wanting an extra-big helping. Roger: Ask "whatcha making" first... ask "whatcha making" first....

If I were Roger, I think I’d order a pizza.

If I were Roger, I’d get rid of Andy!!!

Actually, that sounds pretty good to me. Tofu tastes pretty much like nothing at all, but there’s enough flavor around that batch for the tofu balls to absorb.
Failing that, I have enough Sriricha Hot Sauce to make it palatable.

I one time mistaken dished up a dish that had tofu with vegtables. Never again. Then they wonder why Peter is so hungry.

If there was ever a comic strip character who deserved to age, it’s Andy Foxx.

I do like lima beans, but…….it’s the other stuff.
Does anyone else wonder why everyone in the Fox family is skinny?

Is “dairy-free cream cheese” a real thing? What’s it made of? Maybe I don’t want to know!
kkfin over 13 years ago
@notinksanymore - yes, there IS a dairy-free cream cheese! And it’s tofu-based… doesn’t quite taste like cream cheese, but it has the same texture … Works OK for the dairy-intolerant and vegans.

“Is “dairy-free cream cheese” a real thing?”
That’s like “non-dairy coffee creamer”. It’s all combustable chemicals. I love how the Mythbusters use it to create a giant flare and as a gunpowder substitute in a cannon. I won’t go near the stuff. Give me real cream or half-and-half.

It’s no wonder this country is going to hell!!!
Trade her in on Julia Child!! Julia could cook better dead than Andy could alive!!!

It sounded OK to me until the chutney - I doubt it will mix well with the other ingredients - Andi would do well to stick with a vegetarian cookbook for the time being.
I always thought marriage should have more to do with love than the quality of the spouse’s cooking? Hmm… maybe that’s why I’m still single. I’m pretty good at science and music, but I’m not a very good cook.

Tofu is NOT meant to be a main ingredient, it was originally intended for texture only and doesn’t actually do much more than keep you from starving to death. Plus it’s not particularly good for you; the processing produces some gross results you can’t see. What she described is low in nutrition, has a nasty texture, and is more than likely rather bitter. At least it’s high-fiber.

If Roger doesn’t like it, maybe he should make dinner. Why is Andy always doing the cooking?
