Television: In other news today, several thousand heart attacks were attributed to use of the controversial napster music swapping program. All the victims were found listening to an MP3 audio file tiled "Beastie Boys Studio Outtakes" Apparently, it was a track from 'N Sync's new album, which someone had accidentally mislabeled. Peter: Accident, my rear end. Jason: Just fighting crime with crime. Television: All are expected to live. But just barely.

NABUQU But all I have to do is send my cell phone number because I won.
Everyone on my mailing list received a spam of sexual nature with my name as sender. A lot of explaining to my mother. What piece of spam did I open?

@Lewreader: You didn’t do anything. What happened is the bad guys guessed your password. This happened to my wife & a couple of friends’ Hotmail accounts. Only solution is a real strong password: long, with upper & lowercase, numbers, and special characters $#@&^ etc. Change your email passwords immediately.

It’d make more sense if the heart attack victims were expecting ‘N Sync but got Beastie Boys instead! The opposite might cause nausea and vomiting, but probably not heart attacks…

Yakety Sax,
That’s supposed to be the worst thing a person can do - validating that his email account exists by responding to the email. However, I’m glad that it worked in your case; your spammers must have been better behaved than most.
