Lucy could (should) replace her bad habit of being bossy with kindness. Na, not going to happen!

2011 was the first year I got one of those Peanuts desk calendars. Again, (and even though I did not start getting them with consistency until 2017) looking back, I remember there seemed to be this pattern that I’ve mentioned (with the daily strips), that these desk calendars contain the (daily) strips from 50 years ago accordingly(thus, those on the 2011 calendar were from 1961, yes, including this one). I do in fact remember seeing this strip right around New Year’s Day 2011. Also, I remember on each of the dates of the aforementioned 2011 desk calendar, was one of the Peanuts characters(funnily enough, including Peppermint Patty.) I say “funnily enough,” considering Peppermint Patty would not join Peanuts for another five years yet(referring to the fact that these strips on the 2011 calendar, again, were from 1961, when Violet, (the original) Patty, and Shermy were all in their heydays in Peanuts. Plus 1961 was the year Frieda joined the strip. Anyway, that does seem to be the pattern with the Peanuts desk calendars, containing the (daily) strips from 50 years ago according to the year in question. (The daily strips on this year’s desk calendar-2023-are in fact those from 1973.) Can’t wait to see next year’s, for that matter-(right around THIS TIME next year in fact, St. Patrick’s day ☘️ in 2024), when right around St. Patrick’s Day ☘️ in 1974 Peppermint Patty was FINALLY snapped out of her delusion about Snoopy as “a funny looking kid with a big nose”, (that she had so eagerly labored under over the past eight years since she joined Peanuts), thanks to Marcie.
