I’m genuinely surprised this strip doesn’t include the line “YOU OWE ME RESTITUTIONS!” That’s always one of my favorite lines in “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” because it cracks me up hearing Kathy Steinberg, who was about six years old when she recorded it, say such a million dollar word.

And then eight years later(1974, eight years after 1966 when the Great Pumpkin special premiered), when the Easter Beagle special premiered, Linus would start his “mad holiday hero belief” all over again, thus giving poor Sally that old familiar “pumpkin patch feeling” again to the point of despair and RAGE, no less. But just when all seems lost, Linus actually “comes through” with his belief this time, as the Easter Beagle(Snoopy of course) suddenly shows up and Sally’s anger with Linus vanishes at once, as if it never was, as Snoopy delivers Easter eggs to everyone.
