Napoleon couldn’t stop thinking about how beautiful Russia was in the summer.

I thought his nickname was the Little Corporal. (Or was he just a little corpulent?)

(I heard that joke about 60 years ago and this is the first chance I’ve had to use it. Not worth the wait.)

As Napoleon scanned the horizon over his steed’s head, it slowly dawned on him that he’d never be able to dismount the beast without a stepladder. He cursed the fact that troops had shown an aversion to following a leader riding a Shetland pony.

i couldn’t come up with anything for this portrait of a short, fat guy on a good-looking horse, but i thought that this was hiliarious…

After posing for the painting for 2 days straight, Napoleon realizes he could have conquered Liechtenstein in that wasted time.

Young Johnny missed the years when his father was copying the Renaissance masters, and he got to pose nekkid with pretty ladies.

As Napoleon sat stoically on his horse’s back, dreaming of a victory at Waterloo, the steed, Marengo, was secretly plotting to join Copenhagen with Wellington.

The guy always wore his hat sideways.

That sure is a mangy-looking beast. The horse looks good, though.

And a little big for that horse.

Nappy, really hated it when he was out ridding and a rain storm came, it might shrink him even more.

There once was a general named Nappy/Whose countenance looked quite far from happy/His horse he did straddle/On an uncomfortable saddle/which made his whole attitude crappy.

I should have been listening when he was instructing me. But no, I was going “whatever …” and blah blah blah. Now – how do I get down from here?
