My beloved cat, Camodeus, thought he’d be the Top Cat and bite my hand to prove it. I kind of knew where he was going, so I just sat there, with him holding my hand in his mouth, staring him down. He let go of my hand, with a very confused look on his silly face, jumped down and walked away very slowly. He looked for all the world, like he was trying to figure out where he’d gone awry in his plans for World Domination.
I read of a young lady whose big black cat got too excited playing with her and latched on to her with teeth and claws. She was too shocked to pull away and began to cry because her beautiful kitty, who she loved, was HURTING her. The cat looked confused, then unlatched and slunk away looking ashamed. After that he would not play on the floor with her any more, and she got an assortment of kitty wands that he could play with without hurting her…
I rescued a feral when she was 6 months old (she is now 3 years old). She has formed a strong attachment to me and stresses out if I am out of sight. She will be waiting at the same door I went out when I come back from anywhere. She loves to jump on my shoulders and bite my head, purring the entire time. She is slowly getting better and biting less but I have to constantly remind her by saying ouch then removing her from my shoulders.
