"I just finished reading 'The Hound of the Baskervilles'" Linus says to Charlie Brown as they walk. Snoopy sits on the ground and watches them.<BR><BR> "Did you? That's one of my favorite books." They walk.<BR><BR> "It isn't one of MY favorite books..." Snoopy thinks, looking after them.<BR><BR> He lies on his stomach and thinks, "I don't care for any story where the dog comes out second best!"<BR><BR>

Wow, that’s quite an advanced book for your age, Linus, unless you’ve read the shorted version for children. I’m actually currently reading the book now.

This was back in a time when kids actually read books, most of which today would leave our text savvy children floundering and desperately needing a dictionary!

(Spoilers Ahead!!!) There were 2 dogs in that book, the hound itself who was killed by multiple gunshots and Dr. Mortimer’s curly-haired spaniel who was killed by the hound so it’s no wonder Snoopy doesn’t like that particular book.
