Lucy is saying, "Boy, look at it rain...What if it floods the world?" <br> <br> Lucy turns and looks at Linus who is saying, "It will never do that.. In the ninth chapter of genesis, God promised noah that would never happen again, and the sign of the promise is the rainbow.." <br> <br> Lucy puts her hands up to the window and says, " You've taken a great load off my mind..." <br> <br> Linus and Lucy turn and face each other as Linus says, "Sound theology has a way of doing that!" <br> <br>

Oh course, God also tells Adam that if he eats a certain tree’s fruit, on that day he will surely die—and yet Adam and Eve chow down and still manage to squirt out a bunch of kids, two of whom come at least 15 years before the others.
So, given that he flat-out lies to his first child, I’d say God’s promises are worth what the rain is washing through the sewer system.
