I sometimes get the feeling Calvin’s parents were never kids.

Jealous of something gross? Sure, let’s go with that.

One quick yank on that tooth and it’s all done… until the next one.

Be careful with that tooth, Calvin. I used to twist mine around when they were loose and now my front ones slant inward and one tooth two down from the fronts grew in completely sideways.

When Calvin is at school and Moe comes, he won’t make a disgusting face, he’ll knock his tooth out.

About time people start paying you to avoid seeing such grossness.

As far as I know there is no kid that never did that.

There is no fine line between jealousy and disgust. It’s pretty much a highway.

If it’s only hanging by a thread, why not just pull it out and get some money? I once had one that was literally hanging by a thread. It was so loose that when I pulled it, it didn’t even bleed. Probably a good thing. If it had come out in my sleep, I might have swallowed it.

The tooth fairy is pretty stingy to those who play with their teeth.

My dad used to tie a string to the loose tooth, tie the other end of the string to a doorknob, then slam the door to pull it out.

When I was a kid, a way to get rid of it was to tie one end of a string to it, and the other end to a door knob. And then slam the door.

Time for the pliers

I don’t see how the tooth is still hanging on if you can turn it all the way around with your tongue.

When my kids did this I got a piece of string and looked for the closest door knob. Slam! Dentistry is so easy.

This was me whenever I had a lose tooth

Oh, come on, Mom and Dad – has it been that long? (And you, Hobbes – you’re a carnivore, aren’t you?)

His mom’s expression is perfect. Saw it often as a disgusting kid.

Mom or Dad should have just reached in his mouth and yanked. That might have fixed him!

What’s with all these strings and door knobs? Just grab and yank!!!

Very toothsome of you, Calvin!

Priceless expressions. One of my Baby teeth stayed healthy until I was 83. Had to be removed due to a cavity. It had a gold filling. Dentist gave me the tooth which I put under my pillow. Got a note next morning; “you’re too old to get a coin for the tooth, but maybe the gold is worth something”.

Do vampires have baby teeth?

Time for the old “string attached to a door knob” maneuver

Dad to Mom: “You hold him while I yank that thing out!”

What I always hated was how that tooth would hang on (ahem) tooth and nail… after it was clearly loose enough to come out… and I’d have to accept the pain of a fast yank. Except that one time it came out in my sleep and… based on the lack of a tooth anywhere near the pillow… I must have swallowed it. The tooth fairy was extremely generous about that: No deduction for the extra cleaning that must have been involved. :)

If it’s that loose, why not just pull it out?
