Does anyone know the date when this strip originally ran? I know that Bill Watterson was always interested in Dinosaurs, but the specific mention of the Jurassic Period and the year 1990 make me think that he had read the Jurassic Park book or at least seen it. The novel came out on November 20, 1990. However, where Watterson has actual Jurassic Dinosaurs, the ones in the novel, the T-Rex and velociraptors, are Cretaceous dinosaurs.
Good morning everyone, why do people doubt that Calvin and Hobbes time traveled, we don’t even need to have it make sense in real life, it’s a cartoon.
I hope these are close-up photos of things like rhinoceros beetle, dragonfly larvae, and praying mantis. Things to fill a kid’s mind with the wonders of nature. And up close, just as fearsome as dinosaurs.

Isn’t it annoying when you find out that one of the dinosaurs blinked. You have to go back and take the picture again.

Son of a gun. Photographic evidence of imaginary dinosaurs ought to be worth something, in the days before Photoshop.

Don’t count your chickens, or dinosaurs, before they hatch.
