    I can remember seeing this strip in a book when I attended CCD when I was in fifth grade; the purpose of it was to demonstrate the premise of the strip: that if you don’t do something important, like your homework or a book report when it’s due, of course all you’re asking for is big trouble with your teacher. And if you just happen to get lucky, the way Charlie Brown does in Panel 10 when he gets his wish (after desperately trying to will the bell to ring) for another chance, then just remember, don’t keep trying to press your luck.
