The Turtle was used in the American revolutionary war to attack a British ship with an explosive, but it failed due to not much air supply. But at least the idea of a submarine itself was revolutionary.
Tesla did not get credit from most of his inventions. Some guy by the name of Edison stole them and submitted the patent application before Tesla did. Edison killed many dogs trying to prove DC current was better than AC current. Tesla’s AC current won out and is the standard now.
In re: Edison, Tesla, Westinghouse, et al, I recommend a novel by Graham Moore titled “The Last Days Of Night”. Entertaining and informative. But remember, it is a novel. Not a history book. :-)
Nikola Tesla died in debt, alone, in a crummy hotel room. One of the greatest American geniuses, unnoticed til that Musk rat appropriated his name and people started asking “Tesla? Tesla who?”
In his native land they put his face on cash. Here, The Man raided and stole everything Tesla had written down two minutes after he checked out. Looking, I hear, for a death ray gun.
Soulless, empty-headed plastic figures, or the current batch of idiots running things? I say we let the mini figures run things for a bit. I cannot imagine we’ll see any difference.

If I got this straight, Tesla doesn’t like having other people’s hair in his submarine unless they’re Lego people.

So the sub preceded Jules Verne and Captain Nemo by 100 years.

Big deal about Nikola. A think a vast majority of people don’t like it when other people try to touch their hair anyway.

They forgot to mention the hair was in the shower drain with a lot of soapy build up.

Nikola was actually a nervous wreck. Tortured by phobias and fetishes. Maybe he wouldn’t have been as brilliant without these. And he was brilliant.

That is weird considering people overpopulate the earth.

As a side note the first submarine base (in the US) was on the north fork of Long Island NY on the Peconic Bay at New Hope.

P.S. I am a NYer and lived most of my life on L. I. I did visit the site.

There are 20 times more Lego blocks than there are people on earth at this time. In another year there will be 30 times more!

They should have used “ninja” turtles instead

That unknown explosion caused the British fleet to haul anchor and move out. So maybe it did work.

“Likely” seems a lazy word to use for the LEGO bit. No doubt LEGO knows exactly how many units it has produced and sold.

The first operational submarine was built around 1620 by Cornelius Drebbel…
