The Stones get points for longevity; but I really like more Beatles songs than Stones songs. For quantity of songs I’ve enjoyed, I am a Beatles fan. But neither group produced any of the songs on my all-time favorites list. Oddly, many of those were from one-hit-wonders.
No contest for quality, variation and experimentation in music and songs, especially in the relatively short time they were together…Beatles rule. Plus, comparing those two bands is kinda like comparing apples to oranges, imo. Beatles were very unique. Stones, meh.
My favorite movie from last year was Yesterday, a sweet, gentle fantasy in which some weird cosmic event wiped the memory of the Beatles (also of Coca-Cola) out of the minds of everyone on Earth except this one guy who happened to have been hit on the head at the exact moment it happened. He turned out to be the only man on Earth who remembered all their songs. Fortunately, he was himself a musician, so he started doing what he thot of as covers of all those great tunes and was soon hailed worldwide as a musical genius. Kind of funny at times, too, as when another musician tries to convince him that the lyric would go over so much better as “Hey, dude!”. Need I mention the sound track?

Besides that, social distancing makes it SO much harder to be effective! Hard to kick dirt onto the Ump’s shoes when they’re 6 feet away, right?

The ump should toss him out of the game for even hinting that the Beatles are better than the Stones. That’s just plain absurd!

I’m actually listening to the Beatles as I’m reading GoComics!

I liked the Stones OK, but the Beatles were far better.
And as I’m King, that makes it a royal edict…
