Linus: GIVE ME BACK THAT BLANKET! No one is going to cure me of ANYTHING! Who are YOU to tell ma what to do? Who is GRAMMA to tell me what to do? When MOM tells me it's time to stop dragging this blanket around then I'll do it, but it's no one else's business DO YOU HEAR?! Charlie: Hurray! Lucy: Oh shut up! Linus: Are you all right ol' buddy?

I used to find Panel 1 HILARIOUS, when I was a young kid-still do, to some degree:"WHAT"S THE BIG IDEA, Lucy, trying to burn my beloved blanket like that?" Also, Charlie Brown is GREAT, in the closing panel:“Bravo, Linus! Good for you!” Seems Linus must have saved it JUST IN TIME—it does look as if a bit singed, in Panel 4; well, even a second or two, in the trash burner, would do it. But, at least he managed to save it, in the nick of time.

Also, I really admire Linus’ ripping into his big sister, the way he does, in Panels 2 and 3—for once, for a CHANGE, it’s as if he manages to turn the tables on Lucy. You have to admit, Linus really had had more than his fair share of episodes of “Big Sister Knows Best”, in the VanPelt household! Once again, Linus, HOORAY for you!

Lucy’s double take in opening panel is also priceless.

Yes, Linus sure had had it, with these episodes of “Big Sister Wears The Pants,” Panels 2 and 3 underline this. But “Big Sister Wears The Pants”was FAR FROM OVER, for him—it would last pretty much over the next 32 years(the remaining time that Peanuts would be in production, up until the very moment of the MILLENNIUM, in fact.)
