Charlie Brown stands next to them and says, "What I don't understand is why your mother would allow Lucy to throw you out of the house . . ."<BR><BR> Linus explains, "Mom isn't home . . . She went to the hospital yesterday." Snoopy looks excited.<BR><BR> Charlie Brown asks, "Is she all right?" Linus replies, "I don't know . . . Nobody ever tells me anything . . ."<BR><BR> Lucy talks into the phone. She shouts, "A new baby brother?!! But I just got rid of the old one!!!"<BR><BR>

Even if this whole sequence took place in the space of a single day, shouldn’t somebody have been watching the kids, and have intervened when Lucy tried to throw Linus out?
