    There’s more pressure if you have a realistic chance at a medal, but I’d bet that many just enjoy the trip.

    State sponsorship helps.. those drugs that are hard to detect, are expensive. And.. word is.. that Made in America gives added protection because you own the judges.

    I’ve always felt sorry for the folks who come in 4th or 5th in these world meets. Just think, there are only a few people (like 3 or 4 or 5) on the whole planet that are better than they are, but they are still seen as losers. I’ve always felt sorry for them.

    Only one person or team can win. Olympians know that when they go. They also know that by making it to the Olympics and competing they’ve done something so very few people will ever do.
