As my wife tells our girls, “Fear is your friend.” Normal fear, that protects you from doing really stupid things that can get you a Darwin Award, is something that is not fully developed until around age 26. This is why insurance rates go down at that age. Perhaps this is why liberals tend to be younger. As the old joke goes: a conservative is a liberal who’s been mugged.
