If you are playing pick up game in a city park why do you need the coaches involved. No one has equipment?? Buy 2 new balls and play. Is Kaz going to umpire?
Panel three? Unacceptable. Too many perverts running around for you to leave a “fill in the blank” type panel that big and that wide open. Did Jerry Sandusky write this thing?
Wow, that last panel is a cliff hanger? What is Kaz saying? “I am counting the days until graduation and we can be together in public.” “While you are at dangerous Town Park, can you score some weed for me? It’s still not legal here in 1977.” “I’m happy to ump and, with a little consideration, can guarantee Milford wins something this season.”
Do I get partial credit for my prediction? I did say Gil would give some advice “off the record” as to where they could play, although I thought it would start with him repeating his, “are you crazy?” speech first. And give it to Chris directly, not having Kaz do it for some reason.
Now that I think about it, plausible deniability! Someone gets hurt, Kaz takes the fall. Gil is all, “I knew nothing, nothing! I told Chris it was a stupid idea.” And Kaz gets fired and/or sued.
And speaking of stupid ideas, I had a few and it resulted in a new edition of Mopped Up Thorp.

P2, Only a few shiny tiles today, Mopman. Better get to work!
P3, Great, now we don’t know what Kaz told The Mayor a few months back and now we won’t know what he tells Chris either.

P-1: Gil sets a new record for thoughts
P-2: causing Kaz to lose his train of thought
P-3: “The Sting” is on
P-4: today’s strip ties the all time record for absolutely no information divulged. It’s the nineteenth time.

P2: Coach Kaz has lost all the fingers of his right hand. Tragic butter knife accident.

I guess Kaz is volunteering to ump, since he was introduced in the strip back in the day as an ump
