If I remember correctly the jingle went something like: Yikes, Stripes Beechnuts got “em, Yikes, Stripes Beechnut Gum, Yikes, Stripes five different flavors Get each in Beechnut Gum.

    close enough: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUKenR9k238

Palooka’s image was the base for the face of Superman by Siegel. A picture of the statue is on one of the editions of either Action Comics or Superman. I cannot remember, but I think Mxyzptlyk (Myxyztlplk in the 40’s; His name changed later) brought the statue to life in the issue.

Love is redefined by my state government and still banned by the Comic Code.

Someday the Holy Womans temperance and Busybody Society will get those kids clothed.

    The Louvre–Callipygian paradise…

As in, “Oh, Fanny, my Callipygian pigeon, my dove, my Fanny meeee…”

    (Gordon “Pops” Bayless, “Fanny”)

I could never be Captain Dangerous because (we’re among friends here, right?) I’m afraid the Grand Turk would cut off my bashaw and feed it to the Moors. However, I do aspire to be:

    CAPTAIN SOMEWHAT INTERESTING!

re: Bog Re: “Log Ride”… there’s an interesting idea… but I digress… seems it took about 10 nano-seconds after the mouse started selling ride pictures for someone to “flash” the camera.. either with the help of the boy friend or do-it-yourself.. folks would stand around the picture area, just for a quick peek… now if someone flashes your picture you’re taken out of public view to see your picture, or if they’re busy, they just say it didn’t come out.. naturally cast members would keep the best and so we have:

as you can see these are from some time ago… sigh.. bet they have an “app” that does the dirty work now……

Superb blog entries in the last couple of days. The double-glock photos made me think of Equilibrium. As for butterflies, I say hooters will destroy a neighbor’s roof faster than a squirrel any time. Unless it’s a squirrel with hooters.

There was a supermoon in January of 2005. It didn’t look any bigger from the ground, but it was extraordinarily bright - I tested it by going out driving without my headlights in a remote area, and found it quite navigable.

I have seen things in a raft that would hair lip a mule (hell, I’ve PUT things in a raft that would hair lip a mule). But I have never, ever, seen 4 nuns in a raft. Never. Until today.
