Visiting the reality next door probably wasn’t in Vesper’s home schooling….
“We’ve been transported into a “Yes” album cover!”
“Don’t move! We have to hide. Stay where you are, quickly!”
“But I can’t remember where or when.”
Casilda’s Song
From The King in Yellow
by Robert W. Chambers
Along the shore the cloud waves break,
The twin suns sink behind the lake,
The shadows lengthen
In Carcosa.
Strange is the night where black stars rise,
And strange moons circle through the skies
But stranger still is
Lost Carcosa.
Songs that the Hyades shall sing,
Where flap the tatters of the King,
Must die unheard in
Dim Carcosa.
Song of my soul, my voice is dead;
Die thou, unsung, as tears unshed
Shall dry and die in
If you enjoy horror fiction, especially the stories of H.P. Lovecraft, this book is the Grandpa of them all… before Poe, before Lovecraft, was The King in Yellow.
This looks like the dream place….oh, is this our cliffhanger until October?
I can’t wait!
Hopefully the dreams helped prepare her to deal with the situation by making this strange place a little bit familiar.
Just in case anyone forgot… https://www.gocomics.com/swan-eaters/2020/06/29
Interdimensional travel can be hard to get used to.
Would look familar to her if it had color.
Vesper’s dream coming true.
“Stark and empty was the place to which I’d come…who is he? who am I? What lay in between?” (Yusuf Islam as Cat Stevens, Novim’s Nightmare)
Just poking around so far… but it looks like there may be spoilers on the site…

Okay, Vesper and Wigglesworth are here (wherever ‘here’ is), but where’s that young idiot in the middy shirt?
