Adam: Honey, I'm going to get a cup of coffee. Laura: Okay, can you pick up a gallon of milk? Adam: But, honey! I was gonna sit around and tell stories that never actually happened. Laura: Can't you come back and tell them to Clayton? Adam: That's no fun. He checks my facts on Wikipedia. Laura: Hmm. I've told him multiple times not to rely on Wikipedia as his primary source.

what stops you from getting your cup of coffee, then sitting around telling stories and finally buying the milk and going home? ;)

My teachers say the same thing about Wikipedia. I find it very reliable, especially as a primary source. Good for Clayton.

Telling stories that never happened is a specialty of mine. I used to do it when I played third base for the Baltimore Orioles.

Aaron, Wikipedia is good as a first source (i.e. the first place you look for a general overview), but you wouldn’t want to cite it in a term paper. Ultimately, you should verify what you read on Wikipedia with a scholarly or reference work.

She should have told him not to rely on Adam as his primary source! But I guess he already knows that…
