“An ounce of dog is worth a pound of happiness” is my favorite as well. For those of you who have adopted dogs and cats during this pandemic, please continue to love them after it is gone. Do not return them. They and you need each other even when there is no more COVID-19.

A penny swallowed is not a penny earned….its a trip to the vet and probably expensive surgery. Swallowed pennies can cause heavy metal toxicity.

“An ounce of dog is worth a pound of happiness” is the reason I avoid all the hard parts of ownership (poop scooping, vet fees, kennel fees, and hair) and simply pet the many dogs that my neighbours walk. Unfortunately, with the pandemic we must distance even from them.

Are fleas still a problem? My dogs have not had fleas in the past 20+ years thanks to the drops or heart worm/flea pills. The old flea collars were useless.
