    True, they’re forever 5 (Billy), 4 (Dolly), 3 (Jeffy) and 2 (P.J.)!

The real Keane kids are in their 50’s now. Gayle (Dolly) is actually the oldest, while Glen (Billy) is 56. Jeff (Jeffy) is the youngest, at 53, and there is no real life counterpart for PJ (when the strip began, Thel was actually pregnant with PJ).

Thelma Keane (her Australian accent never noticable in the strip) died in 2008, at the age of 82. Bil, like Charles Schulz, was born in 1922, and is alive as of this writing.

In real life Bil Keane has 5 children (as did Sperky). But middle sons Neal and Christopher are melded, with Glen and Jeff, ino Billy and Jeffy.
