A few years ago, there was about an inch of fresh snow on the pond’s ice. Here came the geese sliding along as they landed. And who was watching from the woods? a little red fox. Out onto the ice came the fox, slipping and falling as the geese tried to run, slipping and falling. Nature’s comedy at its best! It took a while, but the fox gave up without breakfast.

I like watching geese land on frozen ponds.
