and actually masks are not recommended for being outside when by yourself (at least regarding Covid), however if it is for pollution or allergies, that’s a different matter. If wearing one out of concern for the virus, it’s better to wear it down and when approaching someone else, then put it in place until past each other.
Oh for pity’s sake! Where “out” is she going? If she plans to sit in a public park and cry while listening to the podcast, then I might “get” her needing a mask, though why she’d go cry in public I don’t know. If she’s sitting outside in her back or front yard, really, she’d need to wear a mask? Is the CoV-19 virus floating around people’s yards just waiting for the chance to infect some unsuspecting resident? Not enough eye rolls to give here.
