I was once on a Little League team that went 0-9. Everyone always asked, “but did you have fun?” Eyah, not really, no.
The next season we went 9-2 (more kids playing, so more teams), only losing to the undefeated champs and then on a Saturday morning rain-out make up game that 2 of our best players couldn’t be there for. THAT was fun.
Little league for my boys was fun in the “If you had fun, you won” years, until about 5th grade when it turned into all macho posturing, with coaches berating boys for being losers, ladies, etc.
My Senior year we were 1-1-7. We were 3A and we beat the prior year 2A State Champ in our first game. It wasn’t just down hill, it was over the Cliff after that.

Even if you quit right now, you’ll soon find something else you can’t do well.
