I’ve been searching for yeast in my beer for years but haven’t found it yet

Some craft beers are bottle-conditioned, which means they have live yeast, but most ales and lagers the yeast are filtered out. Some specialty ales filter so no one can use their yeast strain! Homebrewers who bottle their beer also condition (carbonate) in the bottle, so there’s live yeast.

Beer is proof that, etc. – Bogus quote; Franklin actually wrote in a letter “Behold the rain which descends from heaven upon our vineyards, and which incorporates itself with the grapes to be changed into WINE; a constant proof that God loves us, and loves to see us happy!”

Always an interesting debate, on whether bread was discovered after making beer, or beer was discovered after making bread.

Different yeasties. Bread yeast makes terrible beer.
