When I was about three years old, my aunt was reading to me from a picture book (even though I could already read for myself) and showed me a page with two giraffes, one up close and another one farther away in the distance. I pointed to them one by one and said “That’s a raff, and that’s a raff-run-away”.
I’m 61 now and “raff-run-away” is still a common expression in my family.

Something must be keeping them away from where I live. I have seen very few insects this year. Perhaps they’re sheltering at home?
