Oh, we already have. Just go back to the beginning of this strip and you’ll get to see them… including one that makes even the other bigots say, “There’s something WRONG with that boy…”
At some point, I’m sure we’ll get to see things from the Topsiders’ perspective. Mr Nethery is too good a storyteller to have them be strawmen. There’s always a reason for the “villains” to act as they do, and it’s always perfectly logical… from their point of view.
For anyone who missed it, Aaron’s “Endtown” poster is on the blog page here! Just click on the ‘blog’ tab above and scroll down a few inches. Do it! Doooo eeeeet!!!
oh, the reasons for the topsider’s actions is well established. The world was destroyed by the equivalent of a nuclear war and a “mutation plague”…. they want to eradicate all mutation and deformity so that genetically “pure and healthy” humanity can repopulate the earth. Of course, it requires the presumption that you are infinitely wise enough to know what qualifies as “defective…” and that being “defective” is justification for treating someone else as a little less human. It’s an evil far older, and far realer, than we care to admit. Look up “eugenics” sometime to see the roots of such things…
You do perspective. backgrounds proportions, anatomy, non-verbal storytelling, long-form hints, requiring knowledge of life issues and experience. No wonder you looked like an oddity against “pervasive pop trends”. :) :)
This is a really cool strip. I enjoyed the story line from the original and this one promises to be just as entertaining but there’s one major logical flaw. with all that technology they could be growing food underground also. I can’t help thinking about that when the issue of being sick of beans keeps coming up like that.

Now maybe we’ll find out what was actually in the backpack. But we’ll have to wait till Monday to see what happens next, won’t we? Darn!

That was the drawback also with Pibgorn. You had to wait until Monday to find out what happen.

I suspect his stolen property would be a good reason to leave Endtown ASAP. It’s explosive or contagious or radioactive or all of the above.
