While Pacific salmon may (not saying will) spawn only once and die, that isn’t true (http://www.washingtonflyfishing.com/board/showthread.php/65552-Pacific-salmon-spawn-and-die-Atlantic-salmon-don-t) for all salmon or other fish. I find nothing that says carp spawn once and die.
I was also wondering about carp; that’s assuming of course that these somewhat generic-looking fish are carp, which assumption is based on the name of the magazine. However, my brother used to fish for carp, and I’d say there is a distinct resemblance: green and ugly.

At least they show air bubbles. In “Sherman’s Lagoon” they don’t/ You would hardly know the whole cartoon takes place under water.

To the best of my knowledge, carp do not migrate.
