They get over it pretty quickly its the being caged overnight part that frightens them but that’s the 12 hour fast that has to be done for the surgery .

Garlic is not good for cats. I’m not sure about rosemary, but with liver?

You can’t feed garlic to cats, it’s toxic to them.
