I remember The Weather Channel when it first started (unscrambled) on a satellite in the western horizon. They had only one sponsor, Michelin Tires, and only one tape of THAT commercial which they ran every 6 minutes !! Nowadays, they’re on cable/satellite, etc and you’re lucky to get ‘real weather’ without ‘storm stories’ and other programs, puffery and ‘promos’…
