My fondest memory of my great grandfather was when much of Mom’s family came up to attend an open house at Dad’s factory, which made meatpacking equipment for Oscar Meyer; they gave away balloons shaped like packages of braunschweiger liverwurst (or maybe they just filled the regular packaging with air instead of meat). In the car going back to the house Grandpa would pretend to bite them.
Thanks for sharing this story. I’m sure grandpa would be amused to know that his great grandson would someday describe his antics to people across America in the comment section of a comic.
