In the UK -where I am not from - they’re called as braces; suspenders are what are used to keep your socks/stockings up. In the meantime, that there plugger sure is well prepared.
Reminds me of the suspenders on my pistol belt that was loaded with canteen, ammo pouches, compass case, etc. Wore the first aid pack and bayonet on the suspender shoulder straps.
My son’s tool belt looked like this before he switched fields. The going joke on every job site was to tell a rookie he had to wear it for 1 day—it weighed in at 61 pounds. I asked once why couldn’t he slim it down a bit? He let me know quickly how unhandy it was to be 12-14 storeys up and need something.
