JFK might’ve been the first future president to be in the BSA, but it was Gerald R. Ford who was the first future president to earn the highest rank therein the Eagle.

Jonathan’s favorite song has to be “Stayin’ Alive”!

This BSA point is FALSE. Several Presidents have been scouts since BSA was formed in 1910. The last one was GW Bush.

Was watching a repeat of Sale of the Century game show yesterday and that was a question who was the first President to be in the BSA. Of course President orange would have been an eagle scout butfor his bone spurs

JFK was no “boy scout” in later life, the roaming philanderer.

Of course JFK was the first Pres to be a BS. All the others before him would’ve been in the 20s or 30s when the BSA was founded in 1910. Ike was born in 1890 and Truman in 1884.

These big tortoises are quite amazing. I live in a small town/hamlet. (1 general store, 1 post office.) My neighbors up the street have one of these huge tortoises. Don’t sell them short. They had to fence their entire yard to keep it from escaping. When you go there, you have to be very careful to make sure you shut the gate when you come in. It will usually hide near the gate. When opportunity presents, it’s gone. Fortune has it everyone in town knows where it belongs so they just call the owners. ( it’s too heavy for one person to pick up.) It likes gardens.

What’s with the octopus? Octopi don’t have noses, they have beaks. That does’t look like a beak to me.

Well…I just want to know how they figured out that tortoise was 188 years old… Is there a DNA test for that?
