Oh I have a couple of Sherwood Frost Arborvitae in pots, a Japanese Red Maple, some Hens and Chicks and my strawberries. Not allowed to plant more trees so I have them in pots. They are small trees anyway so I am keeping them in pots.

Hola Shika!

We have a bunch of tomato starts that we have to put in pots Dry. I have to take LilG into the doc’s at 2:15. She says it feels like she has glass in her left eye. She has tried to wash whatever it is out and I have looked in her eye with a flashlight and magnifying glass and can’t see anything. She thinks whatever it is might be affixed to her eyelid.

OUCH!

I hope LilG gets it out quickly. Sounds painful.

cleo 2 questions, what variety of tomatoes, and 2) Does LilG wear contact lenses?

Dry, sweetie and sungold are the two that have germinated. We had horrible luck with our tomatoes ripening last year. I think I whined to you all about it. I had to make green tomato ketchup and chutney with the green tomatoes at the end of the season. These were the varieties that LilG found that had the shortest season between germination and bearing fruit.

No she doesn’t wear contacts.

Sungold, the orange cherry ones? I grew them last year, and they are SOOOO good, and good keepers on the vine, and prolific! I could and should start my own tomatoes like I used to, but I’ll probably just buy them. I will start my own Datil hot peppers that a friend of mine gave me, I kept the seeds to start my own. Yes I remember all your green tomatoes, but I can’t remember if I asked you if you ever tried breading and frying them.

I asked about the contacts because I got a bad infection from mine some years ago. Something got under the lens and when I took the lens out, the “something” had already severely scratched my eye.

Her eye is feeling better so she canceled her doctor appointment.

Alright cleo where are you?

I am here Dry. I went on a bike ride and helped LilG plant the tomatoes in larger pots. I was supposed to get together with an old friend of mine tonight. We have been out of touch for years. He was the best man at my first wedding. He went to Seattle today to visit his son and slammed his car door on his finger, so had to go to the doctor, who removed his nail and gave him some stitches and pain meds, so I am here.

Oh yes, cleo, I remember you mentioning that. Sorry it didn’t work out for tonight. Will you be able to see him over this weekend?

No LilG’s family will be here this weekend and I think my friend has had a tough day and we will get together soon. I just got off the phone with him and he has been given some percocet so I am sure when he takes that he will feel no pain. He said the novacaine they put in his thumb is still blocking the pain at this point. He was disappointed, but now that we are in touch we will get together soon.

Well SH__!!! I posted a comment to you about a half hour ago, it was still sitting here, and when I went to reload the dam thing, it disappeared!

Anyway, I said that I hope you do get together soon, and that your friend won’t feel any pain or anything else. I took a Percocet when I broke my wrist, switched to Tylenol Extra Strength after that.
