I want to see people dancing in the streets for the new president.

Can’t open businesses but gather in large crowds OK.

The President is NOT going like this . . . . THEY’RE TAKING A KNEE !!!. OMG . . .

No one displays more empty gestures than White politicians and White celebrities that are all talk and no action. That goes for both Trump, Biden, and both Conservative and Liberal celebrities.

I hope to see Biden take some action if the “Trump” acolytes finally show some common sense and vote him out of office.

Symbolic gestures can still get you fired. Peaceful protests can still get you tear-gassed and beaten. The political process has taken more than 150 years to make merely incremental progress. Direct (but unsanctioned) action can get you fired, tear-gassed, beaten, locked up, and killed (not necessarily in that order).

What would you suggest, other than “Why don’t you just shut up”?

This shows utter blindness to the extremely powerful role music can play, and has played, in social reform movements. Woody Guthrie, Bob Dylan, Buffy St. Marie and a host of others would stand, mouths agape, shaking their heads.
