Lacey is, happily for Jeremy, too refined to dump her wine glass over his head.

Confirmation for those who were in any doubt that his “special lady” was Lacey.

    What’s Lacey’s husband’s name? I thought it was Jeremy.

Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lacey_Davenport) "[Lacey] and Dick Davenport, her husband, were first introduced as attendees at a Walden College Alumni Reunion in 1974. The two had been “living in sin” for decades, and finally decided to get married." … “Dick Davenport, a bird watcher, died in 1986 due to a massive coronary brought on by observing the possibly extinct Bachman’s warbler, managing to snap a photo before collapsing. This death scene has been noted as a particularly memorable one.” I believe that Jeremy was a friend of the couple, and when Dick died, Jeremy felt that it was sort of his duty to replace him.

He’s not kidding about the personal questions that lawyers are allowed to ask potential jurors and you are expected to answer in open court. If they feel you are not being truthful you can be held in contempt of court and fined. When you are called for jury duty you give up all rights from that moment on. Remember in the OJ trial on juror was dismissed for making a list of the names of the other jurors.

…sigh. A good man is hard to find. He seems to pop up pretty fast though.
