I got news for ya – the twirly thing isnt bright enough either – it’s very poor low light.

I didn’t know GIF’s could be animated. Now if they can just get them to print that way. (Just kidding.)

YAY! This strip used to run animations like this all the time. As someone who’s generally not fond of single-panel gag strips, this is what made “Cornered” stand out enough to be added to my list. Let’s hope this is the first of many.

The CFL bulbs contain infinitesmal amounts of mercury, an infinitesmal amount of which is released into the atmosphere if they’re broken open. About one-tenth of one percent of the amount in an old-style thermometer, as I recall. The whole thing of “CFLs are life-threatening” is flat-out wrong, and mostly seems to be a product of the incandescent light industry, running scared since CFLs are getting such a big thumbs-up from everybody else.

Oh, cool, it MOVES!!! Hehe, we’re all so easily amused :-)
