It’s Father’s day here in France. so, happy father’s day again to the best loving parents a kid could wish for! You are a great dad, friend and partner, John; if some people can’t see this, their loss!

Totally agree with the previous comment. Love your story and not all mom’s feel that way. I am a mom and I don’t. Happy Father’s Day to both dads.

John, you are better off without your mother (painful as igt may be). From what I’ve seen she was a manipulative, narcissistic witch with a “B”.

That 3rd panel hurts. Thats what I wanted from my mom. We’ve got a better relationship now that my “father” is dead, but it still hurts.

It hurts to be unloved by EITHER parent … but a mom ? That’s a real deep cut.

This will sound odd, but I appreciate seeing a gay character going through difficulty with his parents that isn’t about him being gay. Everyone assumes that all my issues with my parents were all about me being gay. But the problems in our relationship due to neglect and abuse as a child were already a solid foundation long before I got old enough to become aware of my sexual preferences.

Oh man I’ve definitely been there.
