McDonald’s does not allow tipping, so there should not even be a jar there. Unless it is a donation jar for the McDonald’s charities, but then it would not be labelled “TIPS”.
I don’t go to frufru coffee bars often, but when I patronize one, I say, “just give me a large cup of coffee,” and the “baristas” have no problem with that instruction.
I will say, though, that Starbucks had a brilliant insight when it figured out that people will pay five times as much for coffee if you use silly, Italianesque names for everything.
